I'm Ready To Pull a Jerry Maguire- I'm Changing EVERYTHING!

I don't really like the way my blog has been heading. I love product reviews, but I haven't been spending much time lately writing about what I really want, and that is how to have a fabulously wonderful marriage, be a hot mama, and have fun in life, while shopping along the way. My site is going to go through a major reconstruction, and while I know I'll lose those that visit just for the giveaways, I hope others will stay and join me on my journey to becoming the ultimate domestic goddess-feminine hotness! Or at least witness my attempts as I happily stumble along through my trials- it will be fun, I don't mind making boo boos and any laughing, as long as you are laughing with me *wink*....

The next few weeks I will be taking off for the most part to enjoy life and my family during the Christmas holidays, and when I return, I plan to write about what interests me most- and yep, that means less reviews and giveaways (but still some of those). I plan to only host a few giveaways a month at the most, and only review things that I love and feel will help on this new path. Mostly, I'll be writing about having a great marriage, being an awesomely feminine woman, how to get in great shape and be super healthy, having an envy-inducing, clutter-free home, learning the domestic arts, enjoying life, and I'll sprinkle in some mommy moments, because I have so many of those.

I'm a relationship/self-help book junkie, and I love reading books like The Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands, the Love Dare, the Fascinating Womanhood 1922 Pamphlets, the Surrendered Wife, Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus, etc. I also love to write about them, with my own interpretation. If you want to join me as I declutter my house and life, get myself into hot mama shape, find ways to pamper myself (as much as a mama of a one-year-old can) and fabulously enjoy my life, and spice up my marriage using tips from these wonderful books and pamphlets, I would love the company. I may lose some of you, maybe lots of you, as I refocus my site in a domestically/maritally/femininely inclined way, but I hope those of you that stay enjoy the new focus!

Have a wonderful holiday season, and feel free to visit and enjoy my pre-scheduled Christmas recipes throughout December. May your Christmas be a happy, holy, and cozy celebration, and I wish you a joyful and happy New Year- See you in 2011!

  2. Good for you. I'm also making a change come the New Year. I can't continue on with giveaways and reviews every day, it's just to much time, and causing conflict with my home life(which is still fabulous:) Can't wait to see the changes, it will be fun!

  3. I know we have emailed about this and I am so there with you. I have commitments already planned so i have to do them but the focus is changing for sure. I love doing reviews and giveaways but the personal stuff is the best. I am not near as big as you are but I figure if they are true followers then they aren't just there for the giveaways and won't mind. We have to do what is right for us. I am here for you and can't wait to see what you bring in the new year.

  4. i love the saying
Those the mind don't matter and those that matter won't mind.
Your "readers" will stick around and your "entrants" will go elsewhere.

  7. This is such an exciting post to me. I have read your blog right from the early days and loved what you had to say on all these topics. When you changed your blog I was sad, but understood you wanted to create an income for your family. I would still check in from time to time to see what you were up to. I love all the subjects you have mentioned and look forward to your blog's future direction. Many of your earlier posts I copied and pasted into Word to print off to read at home and I have gained so much inspiration from them. Now you will no longer be focusing solely on reviews, would you consider taking the copy protection off your pages so I can continue this? I (and I'm sure many others) would really appreciate it. Thank you! You've made my day!

  8. Fiona, I'm so happy to hear that!

The reason I had copy-protect was because my content was copied and published on other blogs without my permission. There will be an option to print out posts, though, because I certainly don't mind anyone printing material out- I just don't want it reposted anywhere on the net :)

I actually can't wait to start rereading my favorite books and writing about my inspirations again- marriage and life is always better when a woman is happy and feminine!
