Fine Perfume Oils by Auric Blends

"Where should one use perfume?" a young woman asked. "Wherever one wants to be kissed," I said.

There is a lot to be said about a woman floating by with an appealing fragrance emanating around her. A woman who smells great is more apppealing to everyone. Perfume is available in many forms, and I recently had the opportunity to try quality perfume oils from a company called Auric Blends, which also sells perfume solids, incense, and candles of their lovely, delicate scents.

Perfumes usually have "layers" of notes. Top or head notes are perceived immediately on application of a perfume and this layer consists of small, light molecules that evaporate quickly. They form a person's initial impression of a perfume and thus are very important in the selling of a perfume, but since most fragrances need time to develop on the skin to achieve the final scene, someone should not buy a perfume just by smelling the fragrance out of a bottle.

Middle notes (the "heart" notes) are the scent of a perfume that emerges as the top notes dissipate. The middle notes act to mask the often unpleasant initial impression of base notes, which become more pleasant with time (need time to develop into a more enticing scent). The base notes for the scent appear close to the departure of the middle notes and together with the middle notes are the main theme of the fragrance. Base notes are typically rich and deeper, and are usually not perceived until 30 minutes after application.

Auric Blends offers a variety of perfume oils which are full-bodied and offer all three levels of notes. The Naturals are made with unique and precious ingredients that are 100% natural, such as rare florals, sweet fruits, and natural refined woods. These delicate fragrances are available as roll-ons to make application easy, and develop on the skin into their complete character over time. They are all contained in a natural base of jojoba and vitamin E oils.

The Naturals:
Layla- inspired by the bittersweet Middle Eastern love story of Layla and Majnun that could never be. When I first tried Layla, I noticed the orange flower blossom most predominantly, and over time the scent softened to a predominantly floral scent, with a soft jasmine and rose fragrance being perceptible. If you like floral scents, this is a good choice.

Siren- inspired by the alluring, lithe seas nymphs with intoxicating beauty that lured sailors into the depths of the sea. This perfume oil has a wonderful citrus quality upon initial application, and softened into a wonderful vanilla scent (among various other qualities). I loved this one!

Tara- inspired by the enlightened, female embodiment of the Buddha. This one also seemed rather floral and delicate to me, with Rose, Violet, and Patchouli as some of the dozen natural oils it is comprised of.

Pele- another favorite of mine, Pele is the fire goddess and creator of life who found her home in the volcanoes of Polynesia. The cinnamon and clove scent upon first enjoying this fragrance was very lively and exotic, and the fir needle and vanilla scent that developed was very enticing.
Auric Blends also offers two other perfume oils that are very popular, Egyptian Goddess, which evokes mystery with a powdery floral scent blended with musk, and is their #1 bestseller, and Love, a spicy scent which holds their #2 spot. Both of these popular perfume roll-ons have lasting, alluring scents that would be great gifts for someone, or a treat for yourself. Just remember to apply it to all your pulse points, or where ever you want to be kissed.

If you're not sure which of Auric Blends enticing perfume oils is right for you, you can order a sample set to try out a variety. Once you see which scent you love best, and has the best chemistry with your skin type, you can order the full size version (which currently start at about $11.95 or so, depending on the fragrance you choose).

  1. These look pretty neat. Which is your favorite (that you'd recommend)? I like a musky scent in general.
