Discovery Toys- Educational Toys

Discovery Toys has been offering fun and inspirational educational toys for over thirty years for babies and children from birth into the elementary school years.

The Story Stacker
We had the opportunity to review two of Discovery Toys popular educational toys that are appropriate for one year old babies, the Story Stacker and Toddler Talk. The Story Stacker is a wooden stack set that teaches children a multitude of things, including numbers, colors, sizes, and shapes,
and allows you to make up stories with your child as you play with the set, which includes three animal pieces. This is a great toy for curious kids and a fun way for parents and children to play together.

Toddler Talk
Toddler Talk offers several levels of learning as well. Little man has mastered pressing the buttons to hear the sounds and greetings in three languages (English, French, and Spanish), and over time will learn to press the record button to record his own voice, and play it back. This toy is appropriate for children 1-3 years of age, so it grows with your child as they learn to use it in different ways. Helping your child record their voice and play it back teaches them cause and effect and also encourages language development.

MarbleWorks
Discovery Toys is very selective about their toys- they require that toys be fun, inspirational, and high quality. Their toys allow children to create and use their imaginations, from make-believe play towns to building and constructing incredible designs with MarbleWorks and Qubits. Children are able to plan, build, position, and learn about spatial reasoning and logical thinking with incredible toys that expand the mind and stretch the imagination.
Playtown Restaurant
Discovery Toys also appeal to both boys and girls, provide hours of entertainment and challenges, and allow for interaction and shared enjoyment as children play with these toys together.

  2. I used to sell Discovery Toys and loved it while I did it. (Before blogging took up ALL my time LOL) So yes, I am a tad biased, but after looking at all the ways to make money from different catalog businesses I chose them because their toys are WONDERFUL and last forever. I love that only 1 or 2 toys in the entire catalog require batteries. That is what toys should be- encouraging imaginative play!

  3. I ordered the story stacker. You are right, it's great, and VERY well made. My son is learning to stack the circles on eachother, and is getting the hang of it little by little.
