Max & Ruby: Everybunny Loves Winter!

Nickelodeon presents a new DVD, Max & Ruby: Everybunny Loves Winter, coming out September 21 for kids everywhere. Max and Ruby are sister and brother bunnies who have fun together (most of the time) and throughout the twelve episodes on this DVD, Max and Ruby play, learn, work together to accomplish goals, and entertain your kids. Ruby is the intelligent, responsible older sister, and Max is her precocious and adorable little brother who tends to be the reason she finds activities more challenging (yet like a good big sister, she makes things work in the end).

Max & Ruby cartoons are based on the books by Rosemary Wells, and are appropriate for little ones. My son enjoyed watching it, and my husband and I enjoyed watching it with him. Children will learn a lot from watching Max and Ruby make cake, organize a carnival, build snowmen, and more. The emphasis on family relationships is wonderful too. Watching Ruby patiently teach Max to tell time, or grandma look at the best in everything and lovingly praise her grandkids, is so sweet! Ruby narrates everything she does, and Max responds with one word that he repeats, typical of little tots. Some great episodes we especially enjoyed include:

* Ruby's Snowflake- Ruby wants her snowflake cookies to be perfect for grandma
* Ruby's Horn of Plenty- Ruby is making a Horn of Plenty, but Max keeps eating the food she is trying to use
* Max's Big Kick- Max is learning to kick a football (and until he does, he keeps ruining things!)
* Ruby's Penny Carnival- The big kids are organizing a carnival (and Max isn't exactly helping)
* Ruby's Big Win- Max seems to have a knack for winning at a fair, but Ruby just can't catch a break!
* Ruby's Gingerbread House- Ruby is making a beautiful gingerbread house, but Max has different ideas of what would make it great (like any little boy would, lol)
* Max's Christmas Passed- Max has a hard time letting Christmas go

Everybunny Loves Winter features twelve winter-themed cartoons about about eight minutes in length each, including four new episodes never released on DVD before, as well as many holiday-themed shows, such as a Christmas and a New Year's episode. The total running time is over 1 1/2 hours of fun for your kids, and you can pre-order Everybunny Love Winter on Amazon for only $12.99- it's great gift for children up to age seven!
