The RL Gang

I've posted in the past about becoming a Polo Ralph Lauren brand ambassador. Our family loves Ralph Lauren products- we love the styles, the quality, and the colors typical of their products, and our little man has countless little Polo jumpers and outfits. Ralph Lauren is a family company, and their products are made in the US, which makes me especially proud to support them. During BlogHer, I had the opportunity to attend an event hosted by Ralph Lauren and Mom Central, and was gifted with some lovely products, including a Polo shirt for little man and a new children's book called RL Gang.

The RL Gang is a great story book filled with pencil drawing backdrops and actual children models wearing the new Fall 2010 collection of Ralph Lauren children clothing- an interesting way to both feature their new product line while also entertaining children. The storyline is great (you can watch the RL Gang Digital Storybook Trailer (click here) view this with your kids, they will enjoy it) about the adventurous first day of school for a group of children.

The storybook is interactive- you and your children can actually shop by clicking on the photos! Ralph Lauren is moving into the digital age with the first such interactive shopping experience- rather than just show what they are selling, they allow you to get more information and purchase (your own virtual kids fashion show) while you view.

For the first month, 15% of all proceeds from the sale of the Childrenswear Fall collection on RalphLauren.com will benefit the Ellis Marsalis Center for Music (EMCM) located in The Musician’s Village. Conceived in part by Harry Connick, Jr., The Musician’s Village is a cornerstone of the Habitat for Humanity post-Katrina reconstruction of New Orleans. The EMCM is dedicated to the education and development of the next generation of New Orleans music enthusiasts and the preservation of New Orleans’ unique musical heritage.

“The Ralph Lauren Children’s Virtual Story and The Ellis Marsalis Center for Music share a similar goal: inspiration through education,” says Harry Connick, Jr. “If you teach children to read a book or music, you give them the keys to unlocking their own potential, and take them on a journey full of adventure and joy.”
