Freschetta Pizza- Review

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Freschetta. All opinions are 100% mine.

In my family, we love to eat pizza. We like it hot, cold, with toppings, plain, different cheeses, and we love it round or silician. Pizza is a great meal choice when you are in a rush, because it has it all- carbs, dairy, veggies, protein, and even fruit (if you are a fan of the Hawaiian)...it can also be reheated and still taste great, you can add your own toppings to a plain slice, and it's a general crowd pleaser.

Pizza is also pretty healthy, as long as you don't eat a whole pie yourself (too much of a good thing is not a good thing). In our home, we tend to stick with three brands we like, two organic, and Freschetta being the only non-organic brand we purchase (the ingredients didn't scare me when I was pregnant, and they are really big pies, with great toppings). As a result of already being a fan of Freschetta, it was a real treat recently to have the chance to try out their new Freschetta FlatBread pizzas . We were sent coupons to try out any flavor/style pies and give our honest opinions, so I went to the market and decided to experiment with some flavors we never tried before.

I purchased several styles of pizza, including the Zesty Italian FlatBread (which my husband loves, but I can't have because it has pepperoni and sausage), and the Brick Oven Roasted Portabella and Spinach pizza (which I really like, but would have hesitated to try in the past because I never had spinach on pizza before). The Zesty Italian is made with two cheeses, mozzarella and asiago, as well as pepperoni, genoa salami, and Italian sausage. My husband had half the pie for dinner last night, and liked it so much he took the other half for lunch today. Today for lunch I made myself the Brick Oven Portabella/Spinach pie:

It has a great flavor, I love portabella mushrooms, and even the spinach is tasty (and healthy). I think it has now replaced my original favorite- their Five-Cheese pie. I also love adding home-grilled organic chicken on top, and Freschetta pies are really big so about three or four people can enjoy a pie for a very filling meal.

The rest of this week we plan to try out some other flavors, and it's actually really fun to experiment and see what else we like. Freschetta offers different styles of pizza (great since my favorite is the Brick Oven and my husband prefers the FlatBread) and the toppings taste fresh and are plentiful. At less than $8 for a large pie, it's a pretty good price for a family dinner.
