SwaddleDesigns zzZipMe Sack (Sleeping Blanket)- Review and Giveaway

SwaddleDesigns is a company that is known for making lovely, easy to use, cozy swaddling blankets for babies. Available in a variety of colors and patterns, as well as an organic option, these Ultimate Receiving Blankets are a favorite among parents for their extra-large size and durability, and they even come with directions on how to swaddle your little one sewn right on to the blanket. These 100% cotton flannel blankets are made in the USA, and are still useful after the swaddling weeks as a breast-feeding cover or tummy-time paymat, thanks to their generous 42x42 inches size,

You may not know yet that SwaddleDesigns also makes zzZipMe Sacks, a terrific way to keep your baby warm without the dangers inherent with traditional blankets and baby bedding. zzZipMe Sacks are wearable blankets that can't be kicked off, won't tangle your baby up, and do not pose the suffocation hazard that regular, loose crib bedding may.

sleeping blanket
I had the opportunity to review their fuzzy zzZipMe Sack in pastel and gold dots, a great unisex pattern for boys or girls. It's supersoft, and kept our little man very warm during these very cold NY months. Some great features of Swaddle Designs zzZipMe sack include a dual end zipper, so you can unzip from the top or bottom, depending on if you want to remove the blanket, or just change baby's diaper while keeping his upper body covered and warm, fabric to cover the zipper tabs and keep it from poking or irritating your baby, and a long length to accomodate growing babies for months. The fuzzy zzZipMe sacks are 100% polyester and made in the USA as well.

zzZipMe Sacks can be used year round, and come in a variety of lighter and heavier materials for different seasons. A few of these for each season of a baby's first year would be a good idea.

Buy it! SwaddleDesigns zzZipMe Sacks come in a variety of colors and patterns, and are a great idea for year round use. The zzZipMe Sack is available in major baby chains, as well as on Amazon.

Win it! SwaddleDesigns has kindly offered to give a follower of Penelope's Oasis a zzZipMe sack of their own. To enter, please leave a comment below telling me how you currently keep your baby warm, and please tell me what size you'd like. Don't forget to leave an email address where you can be reached.

  136. Well, I don't have babies anymore. My kids are ages 5, 7 and 7 (twins). But I am pregnant with my second surrogate son who is due in June. This would be a gift for his parents. ;)

With my own kids as babies, we kept them in a light onesie and then usually a sleep sack of some kind or a footed sleeper. My boys were on the warmer side, so we often had them in a onesie and then swaddled and that worked.
