Planning Little Man's Baptism

My son is going to be baptized this spring, which will officially be the first party my husband and I have ever hosted ourselves outside our home. His godparents-to-be are fabulous people with a little boy of their own. This is a very special event in little man's life, and for us as his parents.

I'm having all the fun of planning a party...deciding on centerpieces, designing invitations, picking out a menu, etc. I still have to decide on a theme, something cute for little boys...trains?...dinosaurs?...zoo animals?...not sure yet. I'm having trouble deciding on centerpieces (in my family, we like it to be something fun and unique that the guests good-naturedly fight over to win and bring home).

I also need tips on a great Thank You gift for the wonderful couple baptizing our son, something worthy of the honor they are bestowing on us by becoming (along with us as his parents) a guardian of our son's soul and spiritual training. In our culture, godparents are revered, and considering what they are understaking, rightfully so!

These next few weeks, this will be my project. I already reserved the church, the reception hall, and the dj, so now I work on planig all the fun details :)

  2. I think some beautiful silver picture frames engraved with their family name would be nice (have them in various sizes). This way they could hang or display some of their own favorite family photo's, showing how important their family is too, besides their new special godson.
