Beauty Tips That Really Work

beauty tips
* For puffy eyes, apply two wet tea bags (caffeinated black tea) on eyes for ten minutes.

* If you have severely puffy eyes due to excess salt or alcohol intake after a night out, drink chamomile or green tea before bed and sleep with your head elevated. If you have puffy eyes due to allergies, take antihistamines to reduce the swelling.

* Use a product with retinol if you are starting to get fine lines (and stay out of the sun!). Retinol products stimulate collagen production.

* Use a Buf Puf daily (gently) to help prevent fine lines (some believe gentle daily use reduces the need for a facelift, if started before fine lines begin to appear).

* Use a cream with caffeine to reduce the appearance of cellulite (effect lasts a few hours, so apply right before going to the beach).

beauty tips
* Sleeping extra one day a week (more than eight hours) helps slow down the aging process (has to do with melatonin production). Sleeping during the night hours (as opposed to staying up all night and sleeping all day) helps to keep you younger looking too (same melatonin connection).

* Gently wash your make-up off each night. Too much rubbing or scrubbing can stretch delicate skin, especially around the eyes, and can contribute to wrinkles over time.

* If you are not a make-up gal, at least applying blush or a bit of liptstick makes for a prettier, fresher look (and requires minimal work). A bit of color on the face elicits a more positive reaction from others, and makes you look healthier. It also takes the focus away from other flaws (like a pimple, or dark undereye circles).

* Wearing colors that flatter your skin tone makes you look healthier and there is less need for make-up (so if everyone tells you that you look great when you wear orange, wear more orange).

  2. A cream with caffeine in it? That's neat and is something I will have to try!
