The líllébaby EveryWear Organic Baby Carrier~ Review

The líllébaby EveryWear Organic babycarrier is a new baby carrier offered by SciChild, a company known for quality children products with an emphasis on safety and comfort. I often write about my love for baby-carrying and the different baby-carriers I've tried out, and I was very happy to be contacted with the opportunity to review líllébaby's organic carrier.

The líllébaby carrier has quickly become a favorite in my household, even getting my husband's seal of approval. For starters, this versatile child carrier allows for various sitting positions- infant cradle-carry, outward-facing, inward-facing, back carry, and even hip-carry. I've tried almost every baby carrier and sling on the market, so I have a pretty good idea of the benefits and drawbacks offered by each. While there are many benefits to this carrier, there are two things that I especially love that puts it above other carriers for me. First, it is very comfortable for my son, probably the most comfortable of all the baby carriers we've tried (we have not had much success with slings...he just doesn't like them). Other baby carriers are too wide in the seat, making him uncomfortable in the foward-facing position, and one even leaving welts on his thighs. This made me worry that it was cutting off the circulation to his legs. The líllébaby™ EveryWear™ Organic babycarrier is adjustable in the seat (the strip of fabric that goes between the legs to hold the baby up), so it can be made narrower for newborns or for forward-facing carrying of older children. The front of a baby's pelvic area is narrower than the tush, so the option of a different width is important, and not something I've see in the other carriers I've tried.


Second, it is very sturdy and supportive. It is made of a strong organic bamboo fabric, and is well padded throughout, both in the seat for baby's comfort, and in the shoulders for the comfort of the carrier. Other benefits of this baby carrier include the fact it's organic (your baby's skin- and possibly mouth- will be in contact with the carrier for long periods of time), more affordable than many competing baby-carriers with similar features, and it includes a harness to secure newborns in even better. The pocket in the front is large (will carry much more than just a binky) and there is also a UV protective cover for when you are taking your child out in the sun.

The main drawback for me was the limited colors, but at least the color it's offered in (Earth brown) is a great neutral color that I like. My husband loves this color and the carrier in general, so this is the carrier he uses now.


The líllébaby EveryWear organic baby carrier is for children seven to twenty-five pounds, though you need an infant cradle for newborns (sold separately) which I did not review. My son was big enough that I did not use the infant harness either. I was also able to carry him outward facing, because he supports his head very well, though this usually starts later for many babies.
