The Tassimo T45 Beverage System (Coffee Maker)- Review

The Tassimo T45 coffee maker by Bosch is a great, sophisticated coffee maker that I recently had the opportunity to review. Not only does it look great on my kitchen counter, but it is easy to use and allows my husband and I to each make the different drinks we like on one machine. Making coffee in the morning has become fun in our house now. The T45 makes single cup servings, and even though I love to start the day with a coffee, I also love that my second cup can be a totally different option. The Tassimo T45 allows you to make a variety of drinks, whether it be coffee, tea, hot chocolate, espresso, cappuccino, and more. Imagine having guests over, each of whom love different drinks with their dessert after dinner. With the Tassimo T45 you can offer each their choice (and cappuccinos have never been so easy).
The Tassimo T45 uses T-Discs, individually wrapped for freshness and convenience. Each T-Disc is a serving, and the packages come with everything you need for the perfect cup (including separate creamer T-Discs if cream is needed for a particular drink). The T-Discs are encoded with a readable barcode that allows the Tassimo T45 coffee maker to adjust the temperature, amount of water, and the brewing time for each drink to make the perfect cup. After you choose the one you want, you simply snap it in and press the brewing button, and it does the rest.

I tried the following five flavors:

1. Starbucks Cappuccino Primo (we served this for guests, who were wowed)

2. Starbucks Caffe Verona

3. Gevalia Signature Blend (my husband loves this one best)

4. Milka Hot Chocolate

5. Chai Tea Latte (my favorite!)

They were not only delicious, but it was easy to make each perfect, flavorful cup quickly. I was also impressed with the simple ingredients (no scary chemicals or preservatives) and stackable packaging. I've seen special spinning displays for T-Discs as well, which would be great to display on the table when you have guests, allowing them to pick their selection.

The variety of drink options, the great flavor, the ease of use, all make this a great product. I am planning on getting one for my brother as a housewarming gift (he loves coffee, and he especially loves gourmet coffees such as the ones offered by Tassimo for its coffeemaker), because this is also a terrific gift idea for either the holidays or as a house warming gift.

The Tassimo T45 Usually retails for about $160.00. In addition to those already mentioned, some other great features include:

* Quick function (a cup of coffee takes about one minute to be made). You don't have to wait for the entire water reservoir to heat up, instead each cup is heated up on demand.
* Quiet~ our old coffee maker wasn't this quiet, and just made one type of coffee at a time.
* Roomy cup holder~ you can use your favorite oversized mug, or little cups...they all fit.
* The filter is easy to use and fill, and has a display that lets you know when it's time to replace for optimal function.
* Storage section for T-Discs and the cord.
* Easy clean-up~ the T-Discs are easier to use and clean up than the grains of our old coffee maker.

Our old coffee maker has been retired in favor of the Tassimo T45 beverage system, and we are no longer restricted to the same boring morning coffee. We are really happy to have had the opportunity to learn about and try this great coffee maker.
