The Snuggle Nest by Baby Delight- Review

After my son was born in November, I had a very hard time putting him to sleep in his crib (mainly because I don't want to). I want him near me all the time, and love to know he is safe. If he starts to cry during the night, I don't want to grope about in the dark, and I found myself checking on him every so often just to make sure he is moving and breathing.

Snuggle NestThe Snuggle Nest by Baby Delight solves this problem. It allows you to safely co-sleep with your newborn, keeping him close to you, and the Snuggle Nest also comes with some really great features, such as music and a nightlight.

The music includes a heart beat sound that turns on and off at the touch of a button, and a lullabye to help lull baby to sleep. There is a volume control as well, which is good because the music is located inches from our baby's head and we like to keep it pretty soft. There is a nightlight located above his head that isn't too bright that it startles him awake, and it allows us to check on him overnight and make sure he is ok. The sides of the snuggle nest are stiff and elevated, so you don't accidentally roll over onto it while sleeping, and the Supreme Snuggle Nest also comes with a pillow to elevate the baby's head a few inches.

Co-Sleeping Bassinet
The mattress is waterproof (great!) and a positioner around the mattress keeps our baby in place, and also makes him feel like he is being hugged (though we tend to cuddle him anyway, and let him grip our fingers while he sleeps). The positioner also keeps him on his back (recommended to help prevent SIDS in infants). The entire Snuggle Nest folds up and has a handle so you can take it travelling with you (a great way for a baby to sleep on trips).
The Snuggle Nest Supreme comes in three patterns (soft blocks, green dots, and pink delight), and usually retails for about $59.99. There is also a Snuggle Nest Deluxe for $49.99 that is similar, minus the incline in the mattress and the music options, and the Deluxe is available in green leaves, beige swirl, and blue swiss.

  1. My sister-in-law has one of these and really liked using it with her babies. Since it was portable, she was able to pack it up and take it with her when traveling.
