I read an essay called "In Defense of Mrs. Elton". It is another side to the story of "Emma", by Jane Austen, as told by Mrs. Elton (she was sort of a villainess in this novel, and here a different perspective is offered) and it was very enjoyable.

ReplyDeleteI just finished Pride and Prejudice...I can't believe how wonderful her novels are, how true to life the situations seem. It is lovely that your daughter is an Austen fan.
