Little Man Eats On His Sesame Street® Recline 'n Dine® High Chair- Review

So far it's only organic multi-grain cereal and sweet peas, but he is doing it! Little man likes peas, but didn't like the sweet potato we tried. At first, every bite made him shudder (he didn't like the unfamiliar tastes or textures) but now he is eagerly eating his peas like a champ. We aren't sure which food we'll try next, but we are happy we are having an easy time of it. In the photo below, he is being fed by his grandpa and sitting in his Kolcraft Sesame Street Recline 'n Dine high chair (which he loves, and we do too).

The Sesame Street high chair by Kolcraft sells at WalMart and KMart for less than $50, yet it's incredibly solid and sturdy. We love that it's adjustable. The seat reclines, and the tray can be moved in and out (with one hand, by pressing on the big orange button in the picture) or totally removed to reveal a smaller snack tray underneath. On each side of the high chair is a spot to hang a towel or wash cloth, and there is a nook in the back of the seat to store items you may need. We love this high chair!

Little man is perpetually entertained by the cartoons on the seat, which was really funny to us when we first started to sit him in it for practice. He'd keep turning around to look at them and try to touch them. He likes being high up, so we also put him in the high chair to play at times, with a few toys on the tray to make it easy for him to reach. There is a three-point safety harness attached to make sure he doesn't climb out, as well as a center bar.

The PVC seat pad and trays are very easy to clean- just wipe them down with a damp cloth if any food falls on them. Overall, this is a very affordable, sturdy, safe high chair (which is typical of products from Kolcraft), making it easy for us when the time came to start feeding him. The fact that little man has fun sitting in it ended up being a bonus. The only drawback for us is the fact that the seat pad is PVC (the chemicals aren't the safest, and little man keeps mouthing the pad). Otherwise, in terms of price and ease of use, this high chair is a winner.

We are happy we had the opportunity to review it. There aren't any WalMarts or KMarts within 20 miles of our home, so we would likely have never come across this high chair to discover what a great find at a great price it is.
