Amy Michelle Diaper Bags- Review

Having a baby is one of life's biggest blessings. It's also one of the the most life-changing events a woman will ever experience. Almost overnight, new moms everywhere find themselves at the bottom of their own priority list. It's a challenge to even find time to shower or put on a little make-up. It doesn't help that many companies that offer products for new moms focus solely on function over fashion, and diaper bags are no exception.

I've posted before about my search for the perfect diaper bag, and how difficult it was to find one that is both attractive and well organized. I would either find ridiculous styles (Disney for a grown woman?), poorly made bags out of cheap materials, or bags that lack enough room to make a trip longer than a few hours remotely practical. Luckily, I recently had the opportunity to review Amy Michelle diaper bags.

Amy Michelle offers a variety of stylish diaper bags that combine both convenience and beauty. I had the opportunity to review Amy Michelle's Sweet Pea diaper bag (above) and as you can see, it does not look like a diaper bag. The Amy Michelle Sweet Pea in red is one hot diaper bag! I can wear it with a dress, jeans and a top, etc, and it looks great. My wardrobe has a lot of neutral colors, such as black, white, beige, navy, and a red Amy Michelle diaper bag looks great with all of it. The Sweet Pea is available in great colors:

The ideal diaper bag should have room for your little one's items, including wipes, diapers, bottles, a change of clothes, some small toy items, and it should also have room for mom's stuff- a wallet, cell phone, some make-up, her planner, etc. Really, it should be able to hold and organize anything a mom would need for trip outside the house for about half a day. Otherwise, you are forced to carry extra bags, or return home sooner than you'd like. The Sweet Pea is lightweight, flexible, and has multiple large compartments for diapers, wipes, bottles, toys, personal affects, cards, and more. It also includes and oversized matching changing pad and straps to attach it to the handles of a stroller. The outside pockets are easily accessed and large, making it perfect to store and easily grab things you need most, like keys, a toy, sunglasses, etc.

A diaper bag should also look great, go with a variety of clothing styles, and while a diaper bag will never suit an evening gown, it should be able to accompany you to an evening event without embarassment. If you are at the beginning of your baby-making career, you should also be willing to invest in a quality diaper bag that will last, and one that you enjoy carrying around. Amy Michelle diaper bags are a terrific choice, and will help keep some of the new mom blues at bay.

  6. Oh these are beautiful! I wish I had spent the money on a diaper bag that looked more like a purse when my little guy was smaller. I hated that I felt like I was carrying a suitcase that wasn't fashionable. Next baby I am totally splurging on a gorgeous diaper bag like this. Now just to create baby #2...
