I love pictures of my son, and I love displaying his pictures everywhere- in my home, as the wallpaper on my computer, in my cell phone, etc. When I was contacted by Photofiddle to review their unique, art-creating service, of course I was interested. Now my son is a work of art in our home.
Photofiddle offers the means to turn your favorite photos into beautiful art for your home, or to give as a gift. You can choose to have your photo translated into one of many art styles, including oil paint style, watercolor, pop art, black and white charcoal drawing, kaleidescope, and many more. After you upload or send in your photo, you are able to view it in these styles on their web-site, and choose your favorite. You can select the size of your masterpiece, and whether you'd like it on museum quality canvas or beautifully framed instead. Here is a sample of a photo made into "modern art" style and framed:
These would make beautiful gifts for special occasions- a Valentine gift, a 50th wedding anniversary, for a baby shower or a college graduation, etc....a special moment in someone's life being captured in a piece of stunning artwork that can be enjoyed by the recipient, and then cherished by future generations as well, as a family heirloom. Here is a sample of a photo being translated into the "impasto style" (this style is really stunning):
A favorite family photo can be selected and displayed prominently over a fireplace or at the entrance of the home. Children can have their favorite sports or dance recital photo made into a fun style and displayed in their room. A couple getting married would love to have a beautiful photo of themselves transformed into art and offered as a very romantic wedding gift to be displayed in their new home. I chose to have a photo of my son at one month old immortalized in the "contour brush" style. I used this photo:
Photofiddle created an 18x18 gallery wrapped, museum quality piece of artwork for us in our chosen style, which we now proudly hang on a wall of our home, becoming the centerpiece of the room and garnering many "wows!" from our visitors. My mother was so impressed with the result that she is planning to give this as a gift to another couple with a newborn, and we ourselves would like to get a family photo made, this time in the also stunning "oil paint" style. Here is the photo of my son in the "contour brush" style, on gallery wrapped, museum quality artist canvas.
Buy it! Visit Photofiddle, and let them make your favorite photos into works of art for your home. Have fun uploading photos and fiddling around with your own artwork.
Win it! For a chance to win a $50 GC toward any Photofiddle purchase, tell me about a picture you'd love to immortalize by turning that photo into canvas art. Don't forget to leave your email address so you can be contacted if you are the winner.

The photo I would like to immortalize as art does not even exist yet. I am getting married soon, and we are having a themed wedding. I was heavier and very self concious about it when my fiancee and I met (since lost 50 lbs, yay), and there are very few "nice" pictures of us together. I am very close to my goal, and am so looking forward to that chance of having a great pic of the two of us that I love looking at.
ReplyDeleteI think for my photo, I would choose the "soft sponge" style. Very pretty.
