For Today...
Outside my window...it is light and sunny out. Can't wait to get out there and enjoy the day.
I am thinking...about my brother's upcoming wedding! (and getting myself a dress for it- today I shop with my sister-in-law for something lovely to wear over what will be my five month bump).
I am thankful for...the season! I love the summer. It's a pleasure every day to wake up to mild weather.
From the kitchen...I smell chocolate chip cookies- it's actually Eggo chocolate chip waffles toasting :)
I am wearing...an empire waist, soft, sleeveless black dress.
I am reading...(or about to read) The Surrendered Wife. I will be starting it this week.
I am hoping...that the summer will be lovely. I would love to have lots of picnics and bbq's this year, and be very social. June was a tad too rainy at times.
I am creating...a library for my little bunchkin, and preparing the atmosphere in our home to be safe and calm for him/her.
I am hearing...birds chirping outside the front window.... I hear them every day, and I love it :)
Around the house...it is quiet and cozy.
One of my favorite things...is catching up with old friends. I reconnected with old college girlfriends recently on Facebook, and it's so lovely to hear how their lives are going, what is new, etc.
A few plans for the rest of the week...my anatomy scan! I get to see my baby from many different angles, find out the gender (do I want to know??), and these usually last 45 minutes, so it should be lots of fun.
Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you...

Oh I have to find a dress for a wedding that's coming up too. Not looking forward to it though because finding something that fits is always torture! Good luck with your search and at the doctor's!
ReplyDeleteWhat a SWEET post, Penelope! I love the simplicity of your blog.
ReplyDeleteSorry, I tried to leave the html, but Blogger thinks I'm trying to write html & keeps rejecting it. If you will Google how to create a link in a blog, you whould find some help. Hope this works for you! If not, please let me know.
Oh yeah, stopping by from SITS to say have a great Monday and a wonderful week.
You're blessed & I AM TOO!
its so fun to find out the gender!

ReplyDeleteHi! I'm stopping by from roll call at SITs. Your blog is adorable. I will be following. By the way, in answer to your question on SITs about being featured, all you have to do is follow the directions in this post http://www.thesitsgirls.com/2008/06/welcome-to-sitstahood-we-are-group-of.html
ReplyDeleteHave a super fantabulous day!
Great post. When I was pregnant with my first I was all about covering up the bump. But with my last I decided it was more fun to show it off and I went with more form fitting clothes. Good luck finding the perfect dress.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you are going to be busy! Have fun dress shopping.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your ultrasound! I didn't want to know the gender of #4 at first but then once I got there I changed my mind. Originally I was going to keep it a secret from my husband but then he wanted to know too. So it is up to you. It was nice knowing this time because we are able to plan which bedroom he is going to stay in, now he has to share a room with his brother and which boxes of baby clothes we need to dig out. It is kind of nice because now we will have 2 girls and 2 boys. But it is your first so you might want it to be a surprise. I was surprised with my girls but found out with my boys. It's totally up to you.
Hi, Just stopping by from SITS! Love your blog, I'm following you.
ReplyDeleteI love your post! Be sure to post the gender if you end up finding out! :)

What a lovely reason to be dress shopping, and I always wanted to know - I'm curious.
ReplyDeleteDid anyone answer your sits question? You can become Featured by sending in an email request along with 3 of your best posts. The girls put you in the order it was received and let you know when it's your turn. They said they are on about a 6 month wait right now. Oh, and you have to be "active" roll calling and commenting at least 2x per week.
ReplyDeleteI hope this helps :)
What an exciting time for you!!! Saw you on SITS! When I first clued into Sits you requested a feature by contacting Tiffany and Heather via email. I don't know if the same rule apply now. I know there is a looong line but good things are worth waiting for ;)
ReplyDeleteI was so excited when we found out the gender!!! I had about 7 3D/4D sonograms!! They are so much fun!!! Stopping by from sits!

Hi Pen
ReplyDeleteSaw you on Sits
I have done two giveaways so far and mine are things that I made..
But I know people do books stationary and gift cards. Sometimes they will go on Etsy and find someone who is willing to giveaway something in order to promote.
So if you have any questions just give me a hollar.
Cheers
I gave you a follow too!!!

Hi! Found you on SITs and stopped by to answer your questions on giveaways. I funded my first two giveaways. Then when I started getting more traffic (over 100 followers) companies started emailing me. They look for eye catching blogs (at least that is what they told me) and want to make sure you get enough traffic to make it worth their while. Usually they want you to do a review with the giveaway, which is great, free stuff! And don't be afraid to say no to stuff you don't want on your blog. I recently got an offer to review a better sex video -- no, thanks my blog is family friendly. You'll see it will happen to you, your numbers look like they are going up, and you get a lot of comments. Someone will stumble onto you.
ReplyDeleteLove your blog by the way, congrats on the coming attraction!
great blog. I found you via SITS:) I'm a new follower!!!
ReplyDeletestopping by from the sits read youd follow I'm stalking you I mean following :)
ReplyDeleteSeen your comment on SITS and thought i'd come by and say hi love your blog and congrats on the baby on the way !!
ReplyDeleteHi this is Jen from Designed by Jen. I think that header is very possible. I'm thinking you could do a blonde lady sitting in bubble bath w/ thought bubbles over her head. Each thought bubble has 1 of the stages you mentioned in it. Like shes reflecting on her life while she's relaxing. My packages are listed under price info and they list everything included. You can always just send me an email at designedbyjen@charter.net and we can work something out. Hope to hear from you..
